Tortola, British Virgin Islands, 1st August 2012 – Two months after performing live before hundreds at the BVI Music Festival, 2011 X Factor (US) winner Melanie Amaro releases her debut single today labeled, “Don’t Fail Me Now”.
Buzz over the song, which has been dubbed a mix of pop, and rhythm and blues, began in late July through the
songstresses’ postings on Twitter along with the unveiling of the singles’ official CD cover.
Ms. Amaro spoke to the Director of Communications, Arliene T. Penn, and shared her excitement and anticipation about completing “Don’t Fail Me Now”. She further noted the meaning behind the lyrics, and the time and dedication inwhich it took to polish the song.
“The lyrics for my song best describe the journey that I went through in becoming the X Factor and the passion I felt in taking this musical path,” Ms. Amaro expressed on behalf of her fans and all those who’ve supported her in the Virgin Islands and abroad. “I’m asking everyone to embrace my music, and when they hear it, I want them to think of the song as their own. I want them to sing along with me.”
“Don’t Fail Me Now” is scheduled to be released digitally and on the radio; in mid-August it will be available on iTunes.
