CHARLESTOWN, Nevis – MEMBERS of the Nevis Division of the Royal St. Christopher and Nevis Police Force are investigating reports of an armed robbery and a stolen vehicle on that island and are seeking the public’s assistance in bringing the perpetrators to justice.

According to a release from the Police Press and Public Relations Office, at approximately 1:00 p.m. on Saturday (Aug. 4), police responded to a report of robbery at the Sweet Lips Bar in Charlestown and initial investigations revealed that a masked gunman entered the business entity and robbed the owner and patrons of an undisclosed sum of money and jewellery.

“Anyone who has any information pertaining to this crime is asked to contact the CID on Nevis at 469-5391, ext. 27 or the nearest police station,” the release reads.

It also states that officers of the Gingerland Police Station are investigating a report that a black left-hand drive motor jeep, P2242, is missing.

Initial investigations, the release states, revealed that the vehicle was parked in the Rawlins, Gingerland’s driveway of Elroy Browne and was discovered missing at about 2:15 p.m. on Saturday (Aug. 4).

The police are asking anyone who knows the whereabouts of this vehicle to contact the Gingerland Police Station at 469-3448 or the nearest police station.
