BASSETERRE, St. Kitts – POLICE have begun making investigations into the circumstances surrounding a lifeless body that was found shortly after 10:00 p.m. yesterday (Aug. 6) in the Sandy Point area.

Reports reaching this media house suggested that the individual – who has only been identified as ‘Wind Blow’ from Sandy Point – may have been the victim of a hit-and-run. However this is yet to be confirmed.

The Public Information Officer of the Royal St. Christopher and Nevis Police Force – Inspector Lyndon Davis – confirmed that “the police received a report that a lifeless body was found in the Fig Tree area, on the road which leads from Fig Tree to the Sandy Point main road…Police responded and found a body there and investigations were made.”

He also informed that the District Medical Officer was summoned to the scene and pronounced the man dead.

Following this conversation, the police sent a press release stating that the body was identified as that of 48-year-old Ralph Agustus Williams of Fig Tree, Sandy Point and that “the cause of death is unknown pending the results of the autopsy.

“A post mortem will be carried out on the body at a later date. Anyone who has any information that can assist in this investigation is asked to contact the Sandy Point Police Station at 465-6261 or the nearest police station,” the release stated.
