Miss Coastal Air Transport, Denesia Smithen, is the new Miss Culture

    BASSETERRE, St. Kitts – DENESIA SMITHEN, Miss Coastal Air Transport, was crowned Miss Culture\ following her splendid performance at the show, which took place at the Cultural Village, Nevis last evening (August 5).

     

    Along with capturing the crown, the 20-year-old Charlestown Secondary teacher won the Nevisian Pride presentation and Best Evening Wear.

     

    The first runner-up position went to Miss Development Bank, Techyna Davis while the second runner-up was Miss Nevis Housing and Land Development, Faith Daniel who captured the Best Talent segment.

     

    The other contestants were Miss Carib Brewery St. Kitts-Nevis Limited, Mikahlia Lawrence; who also won the Best Interview segment; Miss NEVLEC Grace Percival who was chosen as Miss Amity and Miss St. Kitts-Nevis Anguilla National Bank, Ronice Williams.

     

    Born in the sunny isle of St. Croix with a twin sister, Smithen grew up in Barnes Ghaut Village but now resides at Cades Bay.

     

    She has aspirations of becoming a lawyer in the future.

     

    A large audience attended the show to show their support for their favorite girl.

     

    Santonnya Mills, the 2011/2012 Miss Culture took her final walk last evening. She represented Nevis in the Miss Caribbean Culture Pageant the following evening.
