New National Party Congratulates Kirani James

    St. George's, Grenada, August 6th, 2012: The Political Leader, Executive and members of the New National Party take this opportunity to congratulate Mr. Kirani James on his GOLD MEDAL victory in the athletic men’s 400m individual at the London Olympics 2012. The NNP sees this as a victory for Mr. James, his family, the people of St. John and indeed all of Grenada, Carriacou and Petite Martinique including those in the Grenadian Diaspora as well as the Caribbean. 

     

    Former Prime Minister Dr. Keith Mitchell, who is in attendance at the Olympic Games and personally viewed the race stated that it was a moment of pride not just for him but for every Grenadian and person of Grenadian heritage. He urged other Grenadian youth to follow not just the example of Kirani, but also of the entire Grenada Olympic Team as examples of positive attitudes and behaviors as well as goal setting and dedication to success.
     
    The New National Party also takes this opportunity to congratulate the family, friends and coaches of not just Kirani but the entire Grenada Olympic Team as we continue to throw all our support behind our remaining Team Members. The NNP also calls on all Grenadians that in their celebration of this historic achievement that we as a people do so in ways which would make Team Grenada as proud of us as we are of them.
