CHARLESTOWN, Nevis, August 15th 2012 (TRU - Inland Revenue Department) – The Tax Reform Unit, Nevis has awarded Certificates of Appreciation to Aujeunelle Brown and Mackela Watkins, both of whom served the Unit in the capacity of Junior Tax Officers.
The certificates, signed by the Acting Assistant Comptroller of the Unit recognized Brown and Watkins for their dedication, commitment and outstanding contributions to the Department during the past two years.
The award is well deserved as both young ladies have proven to be competent, ambitious and hard working individuals who have displayed a high standard of responsibility and excellence during their tenure with the Department.
Both Aujeunelle and Mackela are leaving to pursue higher education at the university level. Aujeunelle will be pursuing a Bachelor’s of Arts degree in Accounting at the University of the Virgin Islands - St.Thomas, while Mackela will be undertaking a Marketing degree at Sheffield Hallam University in England.
The Unit, the Department and entire Ministry of Finance take this opportunity to wish Aujeunelle and Mackela much success as they embarked on their new journey. We implore them to remain focus and to continue to be the positive and dedicated individuals that they have demonstrated to be as we look forward to hearing great things about them in the near future.
