Basseterre, St. Kitts (March 31, 2005): Open Day for Nutrition Week 2005 takes place at the Old Road Community Centre on Friday, April 1.
The Health Promotion Unit of the Ministry of Health organized the event to showcase aspects of the theme Promoting Good Nutrition Throughout the Life Cycle.
Stalls at the open day will feature vegetables, healthy foods and tasty dishes.
The 10:00 a.m. -3:00p.m. event seeks to change attitudes in relation to eating habits highlighting the fact that proper nutrition is one of the best ways to maintain good health as we grow older.
The nutrition week of activities continues on Saturday with a quiz on Totally for Kids , a weekly morning programme on ZIZ Radio for children.
