Basseterre, St Kitts, 19 October 2012  --  The Financial Information Month 2012 planning committee has launched a music video as the latest addition to its menu of edutainment tools designed to spread the message embodied in the Financial Information Month 2012 theme; “Challenge Yourself: Innovate-Compete-Succeed!”

Through this creative medium, which incorporates song, music and graphics, the public and young people in particular, will be entertained while being educated about the virtues of savings, debt management and business best practices.

The video, which is the artistic creation of Sherwin Jupiter of irepstudio.com, St Kitts and Nevis, creatively captures the theme song composed and performed by young recording artiste Nicha Byron and produced by Javier Hutton also of St Kitts and Nevis. The video is available for download at: www.irepstudio.com/download/NichaB_Challenge_Yourself_FIM_2012.zip

Financial Information Month is a regional financial education campaign which has been executed in the Eastern Caribbean Currency Union (ECCU) since 2002, through the collaborative efforts of ECCU member governments, financial and academic institutions, the media, private and public sector institutions and community–based groups.

The month forms part of an ECCU financial and economic education programme coordinated by the Eastern Caribbean Central Bank (ECCB).

The programme incorporates a series of initiatives designed to support the attainment of the goal of “a financially developed and vibrant ECCU region that fosters strong and sustainable economic growth and the improved well-being of the citizenry.”
