Deputy Premier Speaks On `Conservation Of Biodiversity' In India

    ROADTOWN Tortola BVI, October, 19th, 2012  -- The Deputy Premier and Minister for Natural Resources and Labour Dr. the Honourable Kedrick Pickering linked the ‘conservation of biodiversity’ to tourism in a speech delivered in Hyderabad, India, on 16 October to the Global Islands Partnership’s (GLISPA’s) High-level Event on Leadership and Commitment to Action before an audience of more than 106 delegates. 

     

    The Deputy Premier is presently attending the 11th Conference of the Parties (COP 11) to the United Nations Convention on Biological Diversity (CBD).  He and other Environment Ministers from around the world are engaged in talks on the implementation of international commitments to conserve biodiversity.
