NEVIS, West Indies, October 22nd, 2012  --  Condé Nast Traveler readers have spoken and named Nisbet Plantation Beach Club on Nevis the No. 1 resort in the Caribbean and among the Top 100 Hotels and Resorts in the World.

In the Condé Nast Traveler 2012 Readers’ Choice Awards announced this morning, Nisbet Plantation received an overall score of 95.8 earning it the top spot in the region and making it the top-ranked hotel on St. Kitts and Nevis.

This marks the second year in a row that Nisbet Plantation has been ranked No. 1 in the Caribbean by Condé Nast Traveler readers and the resort’s seventh appearance on the prestigious awards list.

Nisbet Plantation’s historic charm and friendly Nevisian staff continue to win the hearts of discerning travelers worldwide. The magazine writes, “The staff become like your family at this resort whose centerpiece is a restored 1778 plantation house on 30 acres.”

Cuisine, created by longtime Executive Chef Antonio F. Piani II (Chef Tony) also earned accolades, “The gourmet Caribbean cuisine at the Great House—one of just three air-conditioned restaurants on Nevis—has delectable dishes like grilled mahi-mahi with peas and rice.”

A record 46,746 readers participated in the 25th annual survey, which ranks hotels based on rooms, service, food, location, design and activities. The awards are currently online at www.cntraveler.com and will be featured in the November issue of the magazine.
