BASSETERRE, St. Kitts – SEAN PAUL continues to set the music industry ablaze when a week after it was announced that he was up for three international awards, it is now reporting that he will be performing in India for the first time this November.

According to Headline Entertainment, the Grammy-winning deejay is scheduled for shows in the cities of Delhi, Bangalore and the capital, Mumbai.

The PR Company also stated that fans in India are excited to see one of dancehall’s icons.

He said that they have been waiting for Sean Paul to come to India for the last five years and that everyone loves him.

“People here have been dancing on his tunes for years, and with his new album it will be a special treat for all the fans here,” Kumar stated.

Sean Paul kicks off his Indian dates on Friday, November 2 at the Quantum Leap nightclub in Delhi. The following day he is at Andheri Sports Complex in Mumbai and he closes on Monday, November 5 at Manpho Convention Center in Bangalore.

The shows in India are part of Sean Paul’s promotional campaign for his latest album, ‘Tomahawk Technique’, which was released in the United States in September.

He already has three hit songs from the album ‘Hot 2 Luv U’ featuring Alexis Jordan which was said to have topped charts across the Caribbean and Europe and has reached a milestone by achieving over 100 million views on YouTube.

‘She Doesn’t Mind’ and ‘How Deep is your Love’ featuring former Destiny’s Child singer Kelly Rowland, have also been doing well.

Sean Paul is said to be one of the most successful Jamaican artistes ever with his ‘Dutty Rock’ and ‘The Trinity’ albums selling  millions on the strength of hit songs like ‘Gimmie Di Light’, ‘Like Glue’, ‘Temperature’ and ‘Give it up to me’.

Those songs have hit the mark throughout India where the market for pop music has taken off in major cities there.

Just last week it was announced that Paul was up for three international awards.

He was nominated for MOBO Awards in the United Kingdom, MTV European Music Awards and the Soul Train Awards in the United States of America.

According to the artiste, he is pleased to be recognised by officials in the music industry for his work, as he continues to work hard to spread his brand of Jamaican music to the world.

Sean Paul has performed in over 100 territories, covering the five continents. But though he has made appearances in Asian countries he has never performed in India, a country known for its fanatic love of cricket and the thriving Bollywood film industry.
