BVI, October 26th, 2012 -- Office of the Governor is pleased to announce that the application round for 2013-14 Chevening Scholarships will open on Monday 29 October 2012. The deadline for applications is Monday 1 December 2012.
Chevening Scholarships are the UK Government’s programme that makes awards to outstanding scholars from around the world to study postgraduate courses at universities in the UK. The Chevening programme began in 1983 and has developed into a prestigious international scheme.
There are over 41,000 Chevening alumni around the world, including 15 from the Virgin Islands, who together comprise an influential and highly regarded global network. Chevening Scholars come from over 116 countries worldwide and this year the Scholarships will support approximately 700 individuals.
