Four Dieppe Bay men on drugs charges

    BASSETERRE, St. Kitts – FOUR male residents of Dieppe Bay were arrested and charged for drug-related offences during a joint operation by members of the security forces on Wednesday, October 24, 2012.

     

    A press release from the Public Relations Office of the Royal St. Christopher and Nevis Police Force states that Dennison ‘Denny’ Dickenson, Arthelston Randy James and Sankofa Macabbee, all of Chapel Street, Dieppe Bay, as well as Hubert Douglas of the same village, were charged for drug offences allegedly committed on the day in question.

     

    It states that while James and Douglas were charged with possession of cannabis, Dickenson was charged with possession of cannabis and possession of cannabis with intent to supply, and similar charges were proffered against Macabbee with the addition of cultivation.

     

    Reports reaching this media house Wednesday, last, stated that during the wee hours of that morning members of the Anti-Narcotics Unit, Delta Squad and soldiers had launched an operation within certain areas in Dieppe Bay, which resulted in the apprehension of the four men.

     

    The names were provided and on the said day SKNVibes contacted the Police Press and Public Relations Officer, Inspector Lyndon David, who indicated that his office, at that time, was not in receipt of such occurrence.

     

    He had however promised that to disseminate that information to the local media houses as soon as it became available.

     

    Meanwhile, the release also states that 10 other persons were arrested and charged for various offences, ranging from wounding to larceny, committed between September 7 and October 23.

     

    Gavin Herbert, Ishawn Wilkes and Denver Fyfield were charged for a wounding incident that occurred at Her Majesty’s Prison on Friday, September 7, 2012.

     

    Charged with larceny is Kethneal Browne of Upper Market Street and police indicated that the offence was committed in Frigate Bay on October 21.

     

    Collis King of East Street, Newtown is facing two charges – obstruction and disorderly conduct by making noise; offences he allegedly committed at Government Headquarters, Church Street on Tuesday (Oct. 23), while Jermaine Merritt of Cardin Avenue was charged with threatening language and assault which he allegedly committed on Tuesday (Oct. 23).

     

    Kevis Cotton of Upper College Street Ghaut was charged with possession of cannabis and possession with intent to supply, while Urban Penny of Lackhart Street and Jerome Liddie of Farms Site were charged with threatening language. These offences were all allegedly committed on Tuesday (Oct. 23).

     

    And also on that said date, Ishawn Wilkes of Keys Village was charged with battery; an offence he allegedly committed at Her Majesty Prison.
