HON. Shawn K Richards
By: Public Relations Office of the PAM, Press Release

BASSETERRE St. Kitts, November 8th, 2012  -- Leader of the St.Kitts-Nevis main opposition party the People’s Action Movement’s Hon. Shawn K Richards has sent his congratulations to Barack Obama, who has been re-elected to a second term as US president .

    The Congratulatory letter read:

“On behalf of the People's Action Movement, I am honoured to  extend my heartfelt congratulations to you on your re-election as President of the United States of America. As President and leader of the free world, your reelection in a democratic process reflects the hopes and aspirations of the people who exercised their sacred right to vote, in a free and fair election.

Mr. President, in the last four years, you have done so much to promote a fair, stable and just society in the United States.  In what is described as a difficult and uncaring world today, your polices on health care and immigration have won the admiration and respect of many, including the people of the Federation of St. Kitts and Nevis.

We pray for your continued success. The Peoples Action Movement shares your philosophy on people and community centered development, greater use of renewable energy, and closer co-operation between all peoples of the world.

May God guide your path and grant you wisdom as you lead your nation and the free world.” Barack Obama won a hard fought election campaign and was returned to office in what has been described as the most expensive and hard fought Presidential campaigns in US History.
