One charged for kidnapping, another for firearm, ammo possession

    BASSETERRE, St. Kitts – POLICE reported that a male resident of Parson Ground was charged with kidnapping and two men were allegedly found with a firearm and a quantity of ammunition in their possession.

     

    According to a police press release, Travis Crawford of Parson Ground was formally charged with the offence of kidnapping, which he allegedly committed in Half Moon Bay on Friday (Nov. 2).

     

    No details were provided as to who the victim was but Crawford was remanded to Her Majesty’ Prison.

     

    It also states that Jermaine Blair of New Road Housing Project and Shawn Warner of Sprott Street were charged with larceny, possession of firearm and possession of ammunition; offences they allegedly committed on Tuesday, October 30, 2012.

     

    Police further state that eight others were also charged for offences they allegedly committed between February and November this year. The offences range from domestic violence to escaping lawful custody.

     

    Careem Bradshaw of Farm Site, Sandy Point was charged with larceny and receiving; offences which were allegedly committed between February 27 and October 26, 2012.

     

    Curtis Romney of Parson Ground was charged with building breaking, which was allegedly committed at the Golden Lemon Hotel on August 24, 2012; and Quinton Lake of Tabernacle was formally charged with the offence of obstructing police officer while in the execution her duties. Lake allegedly committed this offence on Friday (Nov. 2).

     

    And in a traffic-related incident, four charges were proffered against Kenroy Graham of Central Street.

     

    He was charged with obstruction, escaping lawful custody, failing to comply with traffic signs directions and driving with defective tyre; offences he allegedly committed on Saturday (Nov. 3).

     

    Meanwhile, on sister isle Nevis, Kimo Sancho of Craddock Road was charged with possession of cannabis and larceny; offences he allegedly committed on October 29, 2012.

     

    And Denrick Hanley of Fountain Village was charged for the offences of housing breaking and larceny, while Dennis Maynard of Brick Kiln Village was charged with being armed with an offensive weapon (to wit a knife). These offences were allegedly committed on October 22 and November 2, 2012 respectively.
