CHARLESTOWN Nevis, November 8th 2012 - Eight teams, through the sponsorship of seven business places, last Saturday [Nov. 3], solidified their support of the Nevis Netball Association [NNA] when they attended the NNA’s 2012 Business League opening ceremony.

“This year’s business league features a great mix,” patrons said, as they observed new and “seasoned” players at Saturday’s opening.

Held at the Cicely Grell-Hull Dora Stevens Netball Complex, the league’s opening featured speeches and was later punctuated with two games: Eastern Bakery versus Social Security in game one and The Nevis Electricity Company Limited [Nevlec] versus Knowledge Garden in game two.

Pleased with the number of registered netball teams, NNA Secretary Ms. Tricia Williams revealed the other teams participating in this year’s league.

“They are the Gingerland Secondary School [GSS], Brown Hill Communication All Stars, Teachers and the Brown Hill Communication Ballers,” Ms. Williams said.

The 2012 Business League would continue this evening [Nov. 8] with matches between Nevlec and GSS and Eastern Bakery and BHC All Stars at 6 and 7:30pm respectively. Both matches would be played at the Cicely Grell-Hull Dora Stevens Netball Complex in Charlestown
