BRIDGETOWN Barbados, November 14th 2012 - The Caribbean Export Development Agency held their 26th Board Meeting in Antigua on October 29, 2012. At the board meeting were representatives of 9 of the 15 CARIFORUM Member States. It was unanimously agreed at that meeting that Mrs. Coke-Hamilton will continue for another two years as the Executive Director of Caribbean Export based in Barbados.
The board reviewed the implementation of 2nd Year Work Programme of 10th EDF (January – August 2012) and Mr. Escipion Oliveira, Deputy Executive Director for Caribbean Export presented the key terms of the Haiti – Dominican Republic Bi-National Agreement that was signed in September, 2012.
Other presentations made to the board included the new monitoring and evaluation process that is to be implemented along with a report on the London Engage Initiative by Chief Operating Officer, Mr. Anthony Bradshaw. Mrs. Coke-Hamilton concluded with a presentation on the Regional Private Sector Programme and the conclusions of the 1st Meeting of the 10th EDF Steering Committee.
New introductions to the board included; Mr. Dirk Heave, Deputy Director, Ministry of Trade and Industry, Suriname and Mr. Titus Preville, Permanent Secretary, Ministry of Commerce, Business Development and Consumer.
