Press Release

Atlanta: Atlanta based reggae singjay Benzman will head to Jamaica in December to shoot the music video for his single 'Hold The Faith' from his soon to be released album.

The video will be shot in St Ann and Kingston and will be produced/directed by Ucal, who has directed videos for hotshots like I-Octane (Stab Vampire), Macka Diamond & Lady G (I Want A Man); Junior X (Plead My Cause) and Anthony Cruz (Mother & Daughter). The finished product is expected to be completed by mid January and will be serviced to music channels in Jamaica, Canada, the USA and Europe.

"I am very excited about shooting the video in Jamaica. It is such a beautiful country with wonderful people....I can't wait to go back home" Benzman exclaimed.

His first video 'Me & You Girl' for Yah Bless Productions was shot in Philadelphia by Ucal and was released in October. The single is doing well in Atlanta. It is also getting multiple spins on the Hot Mix with Richie B and the video debuted on Hype TV a few weeks ago.

"We are getting mad, crazy love here in Atlanta for 'Me & You Girl'. While I am in Jamaica, I hoping to explore opportunities at radio and television programs. The Jamaica market is extremely important to breaking a new song, so I have to make sure both songs are in regular rotation there" he disclosed.

Benzman who was born Benton Rainford, is the sixth of eight children. He grew up in Papine and migrating to the USA in the late 80's. His first exposure to reggae came as a youngster growing in Jamaica, listening to cassettes from sound systems like Black Star and Jah Love. The music he heard sparked his love affair with reggae and a long term fascination with the music industry.

Benzman, who embraced the Rastafarian faith in the mid 90's said his life experiences inspire the songs he now writes. The talented reggae artist has performed alongside Nicodemus, Papa San, Major Mackerel, Brigadier Jerry, Josey Wales, Tanto Irie, Coco Tea, Capleton and Barrington Levy.

"I really love to sing and perform. It is the only thing I ever wanted to do" he stated.
