BASSETERRE St. Kitts, November 26th 2012 - Christmas is the one season of the year when customers expect to get something back.
Having supported a business enterprise over the course of twelve months, everyone anticipates that tangible “thank you for your business,” come December.
In the supermarket business, a ham or turkey was the gift of choice, but with the advent of the reward points and frequent shopper benefits these have become less apparent. C&C Superfoods is making that exception this year and its customers could expect random winnings of ham and turkey – it all comes down to the time and day of the purchase.
When the business launched its Christmas Table promotion on November 16th, the company declared that there will be something on the table for all of its customers.
“The size of the gift will be in proportion to the spend of the customer,” explained Keith Evelyn, General Manager of C&C Superfoods. “Take for example the supermarket shopping spree where every customer who spends $250 gets entry into this particular draw which allows them to enjoy a one minute shopping spree. However, all of our customers have an equal chance of winning something regardless of the value of their purchase,” emphasized Mr Evelyn.
Wishing to ensure that as many of its customers have a chance of winning something, the C&C Christmas table also has something for customers with a smaller shopping budget. A customer whose maximum spend is $30 will be allowed entry to win an AVON gift basket valued at $75. General Manager of C&C Trading, Ann Saunders explained that the Avon gift basket is packed with value. “Shampoos and conditioners, hand creams and body washes and other everyday use items will make up this high-end gift basket,” she said.
Food hampers are also on the C&C Christmas table this year. “These have always been a customer favourite as they are packed with practical items that every householder will find useful, particularly at this time of the year,” confirmed the Store’s General Manager.
The mystery shoppers’ prizes is one that customers will find particularly beneficial. Mr Evelyn explained that this simply means that customers could be on the receiving end of a number of free products for which C&C Trading are the agents.
These could range from paper towels, to liquor, to juices and even cleaning supplies. “Once the customer has any of these items at the point of check out, he may not have to pay for one or a combination of these items,” he explained. “This is just further demonstration that everyone has a good chance of leaving the store happy this Christmas,” he remarked.
The grand prizes – totaling three in all, will be practical prizes that every householder will appreciate. “We have packaged our main prizes with items and services that are very practical. For this reason our grand prize package will include free LPG or cooking gas, free automobile service, free car rental and for good measure food hampers and Avon gift baskets were added,” announced the Supermarket’s General Manager. “We feel very excited this year about the wide variety of ways in which our customers will be delighted. This has been a particularly tough year and we wanted to inject some cheer so as to end it on a bright note for our customers,” he concluded.
