BASSETERRE, St. Kitts – CHRISTMAS came early for two individuals whose participation in a Latin Fiesta raffle won one an android and the other a kitchen appliance.
Staff of Kajola Kristada assembled within a specific area of the compound just moments before the draw was made earlier today (Nov. 29).
Anticipation could be seen on the faces of some of the employees as – in the presence of two media houses – an individual reached into the box of ticket stubs and pulled out one that bore the name of the second prize winner.
Before the name Kerystine Hodge could have fully come from the mouth of Michelle Demming, the Latin Fiesta’s Event Coordinator, Hodge – a Kajola employee – began her jubilation dance, obviously happy with her win.
And anticipation mounted even further because the question which undoubtedly circulated within the minds of all was, “Who would win the android?”
Another stub was pulled from the box and the name written thereon was that of Louis Jerrelius of Taylors Housing.
As explained by Demming, Jerrelius was one of the individuals who purchased his ticket during the 3rd Annual Latin Fiesta held on October 21, 2012 at the Carambola Beach Club.
Almost immediately, Jerrelius was contacted via telephone and informed of his winning and advised as to where it could be collected.
