PAM kicks off activities leading up to 2nd Protest March to Save our Land

    The People’s Action Movement will today kick-off a series of activities leading up to their 2nd Protest March to “Save our Land”. The first hugely successful demonstration was staged on November 22nd where thousands of nationals and residents of all walks of life joined the Hon. Shawn K. Richards in marching through the streets of Basseterre to express their dissatisfaction with the Labour Administration’s passing of the St. Kitts-Nevis-Anguilla National Bank (Vesting of Certain Lands) Bill, 2012 on September 21 that made provision for 1200 acres of land to be swapped for a $900M debt.

     

    The second or follow protest march will take place next Thursday December 6th 2012 . PAM Leader Hon. Shawn K. Richards declared that he would continue to lead as many protests and demonstrations as is required and is demanded by the people to send a clear message to the government that the “Land for Debt” act must be repealed and crown lands returned to the people and not on the selling block  for wealthy foreigners.

     

    The 45 year old Opposition party and it’s new young leader Richards’ has announced a series of events and actitivites leading up to next weeks 2nd histori march. The activities include Public Meetings, Whistle-stops, Block Party, post march rally and a post March Calypso Tent and Movie Night.

     

    The series of activities and events schedule includes;

     

    PAM PRE-MARCH ACTIVITIES AND PUBLIC MEETINGS

     

    * Saturday Dec 1st -WhistleStop starting at Taylor's Village-3pm
    Ending with Block Party in Sandy Point

     

    *Sunday Dec 2nd- Public Meeting- Market St 8pm

     

    *Monday Dec 3rd- Public Meeting- Challengers 8pm

     

    *Tuesday Dec 4th- Public Meeting- Industrial Site 12 noon
    Public Meeting- Stapleton Village 8pm

     

    *Wednesday Dec 5th- Public Meeting- Sandy Point 8pm

     

    *Thursday Dec 6th- Public Protest , March and Rally- Greenlands 3pm

     

    *Friday Dec 7th- Happy Hour (Movie Night and Legends Calypso Tent) 7pm at PAM Headquarters
