BASSETERRE, St. Kitts - AFTER months of anticipation, the wait is finally over as Church's Chicken is now open for business and ready to be patronised by the 'chicken lovers' of the twin-island Federation of St. Kitts and Nevis.

Located on Central Street in the TDC building, the new fast food 'hot spot' boasts a variety of chicken choices, sandwiches, side dishes, sauces and desserts.

A private ceremony was held last evening (Dec. 4) which marked the official opening of the new restaurant and the latest addition to the chain of Mario Sabga-Aboud-owned eateries.

With wine glasses in hand, special invited guests and government officials chit-chatted while sampling a few of the delectable dishes the new eatery is now offering.

Sabga-Aboud, owner of Pizza Boys Group of Companies, in his feature address, gave a brief history of how Church's Chicken came into being.

He also spoke of how he started out in the business arena and eventually emerged to be the owner of quite a large number of businesses in the food industry.

He spoke of his love for the beauty and the people of St. Kitts and the potentials that the island has, the reason for which he decided to ‘set up shop’ here.

He said that in any business, customer service is a very important asset and that is why he makes certain his staff is fully trained in that field, so customers could rest assured that upon entrance into Rituals, they would receive the best customer service.

Also speaking at the ceremony was Minister of Tourism Hon. Richard ‘Ricky’ Skerritt, who congratulated Sabga-Aboud on opening his sixth store in the Federation and investing millions in the economy, spending just over EC$3M on the establishment of Church's Chicken alone.

Apart from Churches Chicken, some of Sabga-Aboud’s other eateries include Pizza Boys, Donut Boys, Imperial Garden, Rituals, and Wok & Roll, all of which are located in different islands throughout the Caribbean.

Sabga-Aboud’s plans do not end there. He revealed to guests his plans for a Rituals Coffee House at the Industrial Site that would be offering, apart from coffee, food at prices that are affordable for those persons who work in the factories.

He also revealed his plans for a Churches Chicken in Nevis. These two new establishments, he said, would be up and running by the early part 2013.

    Church's Chicken is open daily from 10:00 a.m. to 11:00 p.m.
