COVE SPRING HOUSE, Barbados – Verus International hosted a media briefing today here to formally announce the Caribbean Premier League.
The West Indies Cricket Board last week announced that it had granted a licence to Verus for staging this annual, Twenty20, franchise-based league, which will commence in the West Indies next year.
Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of Verus, Mr. Ajmal Khan, was joined at the head-table by President of the WICB, Dr. Julian Hunte, and CEO, Michael Muirhead, while Dirk Hall, managing director of Verus, and Jamie Stewart, a consultant on this project with Verus, also attended and answered questions about the new league.
