Pam Central and East Basseterre groups hosts hugely successful Community Children’s Christmas Parties

By: Public Relations Office of the PAM, Press Release

BASSETERRE St. Kitts, December 20th, 2012 --  The People’s Action Movement is celebrating the Christmas season with their usual annual Children’s Christmas Party in various constituencies and communities. Over the last week they have had hugely successful Christmas Party events in East Basseterre and in Central Basseterre.

The East Basseterre event was held on Sunday afternoon at the Newtown Playing Field where hundreds of kids received Christmas gifts and enjoyed party favors, food and drinks and bouncing castles.

“It was a lot of work but well worth it as we were able to bring Christmas cheer to hundreds of kids in the community, said Event Main organizer Lawyer  Natasha ”Shanny” Grey. “It was obvious that the children enjoyed themselves tremendously and the east Basseterre group was certainly even more delighted to bring smiles to those kids,” Grey continued

On Tuesday afternoon the Central Basseterre Committee held their Christmas Children’s Party at PAM Headquarters.  Once again hundreds came out and enjoyed bouncing castles and gifts. However the two big attractions at the event was the arrival of Santa Clause as well as the Face Painting which saw hundreds of children lining up to get their faces painted and to receive their gifts from Santa.

“I was overwhelmed by the amount of children and their response to the event. Particularly the face painting,” said PAM Deputy Chairman Jonel Powell. I was really delighted at the number of children that turned out and to see the joy in their faces. I think the PAM Central Basseterre Group certainly did a fantastic job in organIsing this event,” Powell continued.

The Groups in the remaining constiteucnies are expected to stage similar event over the next few days leading up to Christmas.
