Social Security And Construction Technologies Sign Contract

(BASSETERRE): St. Kitts On Friday 3rd October, 2008, Officials of the St. Kitts and Nevis Social Security Board and Construction Technologies Ltd met at the Board Room of the Robert Llewellyn Bradshaw Building to sign the agreement under which infrastructural work will be done on the site of the Beacon Heights Housing Project.
This Project is the first Residential Project to be constructed by the St. Kitts and Nevis Social Security Board and will involve the construction of 191 Houses, thereby contributing to the Housing Stock of the Federation.
This will be located at Dewars Buckley’s Site Basseterre. Deputy Prime Minister The Honorable Terrence Sam Condor who is also the Minister with Responsibility for Social Security expressed his joy for such a step taken by the Social Security Board to enhance development in the Federation.

This brief ceremony was chaired by Mrs. Sephlin Lawrence, Director of Social Security. She too expressed how proud she is of such a great investment and congratulated the Investment Committee and all concerned for the work they have done.
Social Security’s Chairman Mr. Halva Hendrickson and CONTEC’s Managing Director Mr. Lincoln Pemberton were joined by Social Security’s Lawyer Mr. Glenford Hamilton of Hamilton & Company in signing the relevant documents.
Among other persons present to witness the event were Deputy Chairman of the Board of Directors, Mr. Stanley Franks Jr., Board Member Ms. Eslyn Swanston, Deputy Director, His Excellency Ambassador Steve Wrensford, the Chief Financial Officer for Social Security Ms. Marilyn Johnson, , Assistant Directors, Engineer/Project Manager Mr. Arthurlyn Belle and the Chief Financial Officer for CONTEC Mr. Gary Cooper.
