BASSETERRE, ST. Kitts - STUDENTS and teachers of the Cayon Primary School on Friday (Feb. 15) had embarked on a community gift-giving to senior citizens of the area.

The students and teachers visited approximately six seniors of the community handing out baskets filled with food items and basic necessities.

The students sang hymns, prayed and recited scriptures from the Holy Bible to the elderly who were grateful for the visit from the school.

The seniors sang along with the children and also joined in the verse recitals.

A teacher from the school indicated that the aim of the event was one of the many ways for the school to give back to the community.

She added that though Valentine’s Day had passed, they wanted to show their love, affection and appreciation for the seniors within that community.
