BASSETERRE, St. Kitts, February 21st 2013 (CUOPM) - As the Government and People of St. Lucia celebrate the 34th Anniversary of Independence, St. Kitts and Nevis has dispatched a congratulatory message to mark the occasion.
“It is my genuine wish that St. Lucia and by extension its people will enjoy the many commemorative activities surrounding this year’s Independence celebrations and reflect on the illustrious heritage and culture of their country,” said Prime Minister the Rt. Hon. Dr. Denzil L. Douglas.
“I hope that God’s many blessings maintain sway over all future national endeavours and I am certain that the citizens of St. Lucia will continue to put forth the necessary work to aid in their country’s progress,” Dr. Douglas told his St. Lucian counterpart, Hon. Dr. Kenny Anthony.
