BASSETERRE, St. Kitts – AT a historic Passing Out Parade slated for Tuesday, 36 recruits will officially complete their training to become full-fledged members of the St. Kitts-Nevis Fire and Rescue Services and the Royal St. Christopher and Nevis Police Force.

The event, dubbed the 36th Passing-Out Parade, will take place at the Police Training Complex and will begin at 4:30 in the afternoon.

The ceremony will see 14 fire officers and 22 police officers joining the rank and file of the two organisations and will feature “a full drill display”.

The feature address will be given by the Prime Minister of the Federation and Minister of National Security, the Hon. Denzil Llewellyn Douglas.

As was indicated by the PM’s Press Secretary, the graduation ceremony for the fire officers was to have been held two week ago, but intervention by Hurricane Omar forced its postponement which led to the merging of both events.

Head of State, the Governor General, His Excellency Dr. Sir Cuthbert Sebastian will also be in attendance at the ceremony. He is scheduled to take the salute.   ~~Adz:Right~~

An invitation has been extended to interested persons by the Royal St. Christopher and Nevis Police Force to witness the historic event, and those attending are asked to be seated by 3:45 p.m.
