BASSETERRE, St. Kitts – CARIB BREWERIES held the first in a series of promotional draws of its “Win Big Carib Breweries Promotion” at Monkey Bar on Friday (Oct. 24), whereby consumers of the company’s products have the opportunity to win a vast array of prizes by collecting six specially marked bottle caps.

The promotion began in mid-September and coincided with the Federation’s Silver Jubilee Independence celebrations. Over the past month the company has distributed 800 cases in drinks and over EC$5 000 to winners.

A person is eligible to receive a prize if they collect six of the specially marked Independence bottle caps, put them in an envelope with their name and address and send it to the company.

Steve LaPlace, the Breweries’ Brand Manager, stated that the promotion is twofold, as persons could win either prizes or cash.

“It’s sales-driven and we’ve been extremely pleased with the response, because we’ve received over 5 000 entries so far.”

Louisette Richards of St. Pauls won a laptop while Philmore Warner of Sandy Point, Tisharie Fyfield of Newtown and Avery Dickinson of the Gardens won Cable & Wireless cell phones.

Garfield Hodge of Halfway Tree won a 60-second shopping spree at a local supermarket and Naomi Carey of Saddlers and Sharon Mohammed of Shadwell both won ipods.

The promotion will run until the end of January 2009, where the grand prize winner will receive a 2008 silver Nissan Almera.  ~~Adz:Left~~
