Ann Wigley Hounoured for Dedication to the Elderly

~~Adz:Right~~Basseterre, St. Kitts, October 30, 2008 (SKNIS): Supervisor of Social Assistance Ann Wigley has been honoured by the Liberty New Testament Church of God Molyneaux for her outstanding commitment to the care of the elderly in the Federation.

Ms. Wigley assumed she was taking the elderly to an annual event in which they would be honoured but was surprised to find that she was also a recipient of recognition and high commendation.

The social assistance supervisor told SKNIS “Each year this fairly young church of chiefly young people goes out of its way to recognize the elderly. I commend them highly”.

She said although she was appreciative of the plaque which she received, she was even more enthused by the special care taken by the church to ensure that each senior citizen felt special. Each received a mug bearing their individual name and they were all taken out to lunch following last weekend’s ceremony.

Ms Wigley calls on the wider public to practice generosity towards the elderly as the New Testament Church of God lead by Pastor Augustus Shelford has been doing for years.
