    Arrests

    ~~Adz:Right~~ BASSETERRE, St. Kitts – OVER the past couple of weeks, a number of persons were arrested and charged in accordance with the offences which they are believed to have committed and are expected to make appearance before a court of law.

     

    Halfway Tree resident Terry Browne was arrested and charged with October 25, 2008 offences of “assault” and “wounding”, while resulting from an unrelated incident, Trafalgar Villager Marlon Rogers was arrested and charged with one count of “assault with a firearm”.

     

    Godwin Ghaut resident Michael Gumbs was arrested and charged with one count of “carrying abroad an offensive weapon”, and in another incident, Cayon resident Lancille Oloughlin was arrested and charged with an October 14, 2008 offence of “assault with a firearm”.

     

    Curtlyn Walters, a resident of Cleverly Hill, Sandy Point, was slapped with one count each of “carrying abroad an offensive weapon”, “making use of threatening language”, “battery” and “making use of indecent language”. According to a police press release, the charges resulted from two separate incidents.

     

    The offences of “making use of indecent language” and “battery on police” were preferred against Rawlins Road, Gingerland resident, Javier Ottley.

     

    “House breaking and larceny” was the offence for which Elston Phillip of Sandy Point was arrested and charged, while Cotton Ground resident Jevon Daniel was arrested and charged with one count of “larceny”.

     

    Newton Ground Villager Yvette Elliot was arrested and charged for “larceny”, which was allegedly committed on September 20, 2008.

     

    For an October 6, 2008 offence of “obtaining credit by false pretence”, Travis Christmas of Dorset Village was arrested and charged; and Jermaine Richardson of Cotton Ground was arrested and charged with “forgery” and “uttering a fraud document”. Richardson’s offences, according to police, were committed on October 23, 2008.

     

    “Possession of cannabis” and “obstruction” were the respective charges brought against Royden Isaac of Green Tree Housing Project and Maria Browne of Halfway Tree, St. Kitts. The incidents are unrelated.

     

    Newton Ground Villager Elvis Bradshaw was arrested and charged for the offence of “indecent assault”.
