BASSETERRE, St. Kitts – FOR many people, apart from choosing unique clothing, one major aspect that goes into achieving individualistic taste in fashion is to custom-made pieces.

    Jackie

SKNVibes recently met Jackie, an employee of Fashion 2020 on Fort Street, which has ‘A New Era of Swag and Style’ as its tagline.

Jackie was at the time wearing custom-made clothing - a brown blazer and a pair of khaki pants – with complementary jewellery and shoes to enhance her look. And while she loves to wear weaves on Fridays, she instead had her thick, long natural hair in a curly ‘updo’ with some brown highlights.

“I have a passion for clothes and hairstyles. I like wearing weaves. I’m creative…I like to design clothes and hairstyles. I like bright clothes and makeup and I often make my own clothes. I tell my seamstress how I want it and she makes my look.”

    Darryl

While on a stroll on Port Zante, this media house caught up with a young Rastaman named Darryl.

He was bedecked in a pair of dark blue jeans, a pinstripe dressy shirt and black and white Converse sneakers.

Darryl accessorised his outfit with a ‘burning spliff’ pendant necklace and a pair of shades with his dreadlocks flowing downwards.

“I like to feel good about myself. You got to stay clean because you never know what will happen. Women like to see men dressed, so I gotta stay neat…forever mint.”
