NCCU contributes to Alexandra Hospital Fund

The Nevis Co-operative Credit Union Limited operating principles are built on three pillars, one of which is Social Goals. Continuing the ideas and beliefs of our co-operative pioneer, we seek to bring about human and social development.
In keeping with this co-operative principle of showing responsibility and concern for our community, the Nevis Co-operative Credit Union Limited has made contributions to various establishments in Nevis for sports, education, health, culture and scholarships since its inception.
The NCCU in its commitment to enhance health care system on Nevis pledges its continued support to the health sector and made its annual contribution of EC$5,000.00 to the Alexandra Hospital Fund to aid the financing and/or upkeep of equipment.
Mrs. Coleen Harriar, Administrative Assistant at the NCCU made the donation to Dr. Cardell Rawlins, Chief Surgeon at the hospital, while Mrs. Veta Morton, Acting Hospital Administrator and Matron Aldris Pemberton-Dias looked on. In receiving the cheque, Dr. Rawlins thanked the NCCU for their generous donation and look forward to a beneficial and productive relationship.

The NCCU was initially registered as the Civil Service Co-operative Credit Union (CSCCU) in 1965, and was re-registered as the Charlestown Co-operative Credit Union (CCCU) in 1966. The NCCU opened its bond to the entire island of Nevis in 1972 and was finally re-registered on 25th July of the same year.
