KINGSTON, Jamaica – THE Jamaican public is being asked for assistance in locating a hospital patient who has been missing for an approximate week.

Fifty-three-year-old Beres Ramsey, according to the Jamaica Observer, went missing from the Annotto Bay Hospital located in St. Mary on Friday (Nov. 7).

The police have conducted and are conducting searches in the St. Mary parish and have since extended the search to include, “as far as Kingston, the Jamaican capital.”  Ramsey’s home area, Portland, has also been searched.

“We have been searching the entire district of Annotto Bay, Dover Castle and Broadgate and pretty much most of St. Mary…We have gone as far as Kingston, Port Maria and beyond,” the Observer quotes a police spokesperson as saying.

“Ramsay is of dark complexion and about five feet seven inches tall. He was last seen wearing a long-sleeved striped shirt with a yellow merino, striped pants and white sneakers. Anyone who has seen Ramsay is being asked to contact the nearest police station or the Annotto Bay Hospital at 996-2222/3 or 344-0603.”
