    SPATIAL INNOVISION LIMITED PROVIDES
    COMPLIMENTARY TRAINING

     

    ~~Adz:Left~~Spatial Innovision Limited, a Jamaican Geographic Information System (GIS) company with over 10 years experience in bringing Environmental System Resource Institute (ESRI) and other geo-spatial solutions to the Caribbean market, recently acquired full distribution rights for ESRI GIS software in the Caribbean and will now be servicing the following territories, namely:  Barbados,

     

    Turks & Caicos, Dominica, British Virgin Islands, Montserrat, Anguilla, Antigua, Saint Kitts & Nevis, Saint Vincent & the Grenadines and Saint Lucia in addition to existing clients in Trinidad & Tobago, the Bahamas, Jamaica, Haiti and Guyana.  

     

    Each year, GIS is celebrated internationally on the Wednesday of GIS week which is the third week in November. To continue this tradition and bring markets that were not previously served under their umbrella, Spatial has decided to visit each country during the International GIS week – November 17-21.  

     

    The training seminar, the result of collaboration between Spatial and the Department of Physical Planning, will be conducted by an ESRI certified trainer to a select group in the conference room of the Department of Physical Planning in Anguilla on Tuesday and Wednesday, November 18 and 19, 2008.  Spatial’s representative will be meeting with members of relevant Government Agencies on Monday, November 17.

     

    The ESRI 2 day course will cover ArcGIS Desktop I: Getting Started with GIS (version 9.3), for these 15 persons.  Training material, an ESRI Certificate to each participant as well as evaluation copies of the software will also be provided FREE OF COST. 

     

    Both the Land and Surveys and Physical Planning Departments are upgrading its GIS and Land Information System (LIS) products so as to better serve the public of Anguilla using modern technology in the area of land management. In this regard the training provided by Spatial Innovision Limited will be extremely critical to the success of the Departments in these initiatives moving forward.
