Amber Browne starts the LIME Christmas ball rolling

BASSETERRE, St. Kitts – THE race to win $US 1 million in LIME’s Christmas Promotion began yesterday (Nov. 25) with the first of six weekly draws to determine who would be eligible to win the ultimate prize.

Amber Browne of Sandy Point was the first lucky winner and took home a brand new 42 inch Sony plasma-screen television set. The 23-year-old, apparently overwhelmed, remained speechless for a few seconds when told that she was one step closer to being a millionaire.

“I always Top Up my phone and just by adding over twenty dollars, I was entered into the competition. I didn’t expect to be a winner at all! It was just like a normal Top Up to me, but when they called and told me that I won, I was so excited! I still can’t believe it! I am definitely going to win that US$1M; I already envision myself taking that cheque,” Browne told SKNVibes.com.

Also, a lucky channel vendor, Catherine Pennyfeather won a $500 weekly Vendors’ draw and was entered into the million-dollar draw.

VP of Corporate Communications Laverne Caines noted that the winners were of a “good mix” as two persons in Nevis also won prizes and were entered into the million-dollar draw. 

She informed that the objective of the presentations to the channel vendors is to encourage them to get many more customers to top-up at their place of business, and also to give them an equal opportunity to win big.

She reminded the general public that everyone can be a winner by simply topping up more than EC$20, signing up for or upgrading an existing service, paying bills in full and on time or texting the word “WIN” to shortcode 5463 (LIME).

Caines encouraged all LIME subscribers to do what is necessary to be eligible to win the remaining weekly gifts including digital cameras, laptops, camcorders, MP3 players and play stations, and reminded them that one prize takes each subscriber closer to entering the New Year as a millionaire!
