By: LIME, Press Release

Basseterre, St. Kitts, June 24th, 2013 – With the aim of the Advancement of Children Foundation (ACF) being “to positively affect the life of the children and youth in our community…” LIME came on board in 2008 to partner with this life changing organisation. The ACF is a charitable foundation founded by the Rotary Club of Liamuiga and Rotary Club of St. Kitts.

As a founding platinum sponsor LIME, the only full service telecommunications provider in St. Kitts and Nevis, has donated EC$125,000 to the ACF over the past 5 years. On Wednesday 19th June 2013, General Manager of LIME St. Kitts-Nevis, Mr David Lake, handed over a cheque in the amount of EC$25,000 to Natalie John, President of the Foundation at its annual board meeting, which was held at the Marriot Resort St. Kitts.

Commenting on the decision to invest in the Advancement of Children Foundation, Mr. David Lake said: “LIME and the Advancement of Children Foundation share a common goal in that we both act as catalysts for positive change. It is with this aim in mind that LIME saw it fit to partner with this life changing foundation to assist in alleviating many of the social ills that plague our society.”

LIME, who is renowned for introducing new telecommunications technologies to the Federation, was the first to launch 4G mobile service in October 2012. The management and staff of LIME expressed sincere gratitude to the management and council members of Advancement of Children Foundation for their continued contribution towards the development on our nation’s youth.
