CHARLESTOWN, Nevis - 22-YEAR-OLD Hezron Budgeon has demonstrated the diversity of the Federation’s student pool in his pursuit of an Associate’s Degree in the field of Forensic Science at the Semiole Community College in Orlando, Florida.

Budgeon, originally from Barnes Ghaut, Nevis began his secondary schooling at the Charlestown Secondary School in 1998 and graduated from the Charlestown Sixth Form College in 2005. Upon leaving this institution he was employed with the Delta Petroleum Company for approximately one year.

In 2007 he travelled to Orlando, Florida to attend the Semiole Community College in order to pursue his dream of becoming a Forensic Science Analyst.

“I’m currently pursuing an Associate Degree after which I plan to transfer to the University of Central Florida for my Bachelors Degree in Forensic Science,” said Budgeon in speaking with SKNVibes.com.

During the interview he further discussed his ambitions to start his own business upon completion of his degree program.

“I plan to start my own business and I hope to open a lab of some sort dealing with crime investigation and put what I’ve learned into practice hopefully in the not too distant future,” he said. ~~Adz:Right~~

He continued, “I have a passion for forensics because it is a rare field in the Caribbean especially Nevis, so hopefully I could help improve that system in my country.  No matter how big or small the change is, nothing happens over night, but hopefully it will improve the life of the people in my country.”

Budgeon remains focused in the interim, actively pursuing his dream of obtaining his degree.

In divulging his personal mantra, ‘success is not achieved by doing nothing’, he offered “The road of life is not paved with gold. If you remain in the valley you would not know what it’s like to get over the hill.  So word hard, think big and aim high because if you aim at nothing that’s exactly what you'll get...nothing!”
