    Government receives FBI report on crime, will invite all stakeholders and political parties to discuss a National Plan

    BASSETERRE, ST. KITTS, DECEMBER 2ND 2008 (CUOPM) – The Government of St. Kitts and Nevis has received a comprehensive report on crime from a top United States Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) official.
     
    Prime Minister and Minister of National Security, Hon. Dr. Denzil L. Douglas during his weekly - “Ask the Prime Minister” radio programme on ZIZ Radio and Sugar City Rock on
    Tuesday said the report, is a comprehensive study of the root causes of the problem of crime, especially gang violence among young people.

     

    He said the report received on Monday, will be brought to the public for consultation and discussion involving several stakeholders including political parties.

     

    “We will then formulate our national plan to deal with this particular issue,” said Prime Minister Douglas, who urged all stakeholders including the church, non-governmental organisations, the private sector and all the political parties to “sit down and discuss what needs to be done to ensure that we can live a safe, decent and better life and those who visit us can also enjoy our country.”  ~~Adz:Right~~
