Royal St. Kitts Hotel & Casino records fruitful year

BASSETERRE, St. Kitts – THE Royal St. Kitts Hotel & Casino, formerly Jack Tar Village, has recorded one of its most fruitful years of service in 2008 and General Manager Dimitris Cosvogiannis described it as ending “on a high note with amazing offerings”.
Since its 1976 opening, the hotel has undergone over US$2 million in renovations to ensure that the property has its full complement of rooms ready to provide a “superior guest experience”. Just one year ago, the 18-acre all-inclusive hotel had a soft re-opening, making 80 of its 282 rooms available to guests.
Over the last year, the rooms have been upgraded with flat screen television sets, offering satellite TV for guests. Free wireless internet is also available in most rooms and throughout the public areas of the hotel and a business centre has been set up in the lobby for guests’ convenience. Among other major changes, the hotel’s international buffet-style restaurant has been refurbished, along with the nightclub, which has been transformed into the Cane Club.
Cosvogiannis explained that the upgrading of most of its amenities and focus on the proper training and hiring of staff has been moves toward the hotel becoming a fully operational five-star property. ~~Adz:Right~~

We have specifically been working to bring a memorable experience to our guests by creating a congenial yet care-free environment. Through our ongoing process of improving our services, we endeavour to educate the rest of the world about St. Kitts.
“Through these strategic aims which have produced positive results in staff productivity and occupancy, we want to strengthen all our present objectives in 2009. We are concluding major capital improvement projects, enhancing our property and we are currently improving our contacts with tour operators in the US and UK. It is essential that people learn more about St. Kitts through us. It is, in essence, a dual target through the Ministry of Tourism and the St. Kitts Tourism Authority, in that while we promote the island as a cultural and vacation haven, we are inadvertently promoting our property as well.”
“Our objective is to collaborate with the government to increase reliable flights coming into St. Kitts. We need to see the island full by facilitating guest loyalty. We must provide a memorable experience for every single visitor, and as such we are currently completing the creation of a highly-trained staff with the motto ‘One Body, One Spirit’.”
