Sugar Bowl puts the ‘PEP’ in entertainment

BASSETERRE, St. Kitts – SKNVIBES has successfully launched yet another innovative initiative with PEP Radio – People Entertaining People – an online radio station bringing live entertainment to the populace like only DJ extraordinaire Leslie ‘Sugar Bowl’ Morton can.
According to the company’s VP of Sales and Marketing Udora Farrell, the soft launch held Friday, January 9 brought incredible responses noting that ‘hits’ on the SKNVibes PEP Radio were phenomenal.
“Emails went through the roof with Sugar Bowl’s loyal listeners and supporters sending messages of congratulations to him and his SKNVibes family for this new and exciting initiative,” Farrell said.
She informed that chat room responses were equally unbelievable with as many as 60 persons talking to each other at any one point. She added that the new online station has already caught the attention of hundreds of listeners from the UK, US and Canada, not forgetting the thousands of listeners logged on across the region.
In an exclusive interview with Sugar Bowl, he explained that this is the first step in the launch of the new and improved Entertainment Section of SKNVibes which will carry the theme of PEP – People Entertaining People.
“It has been pure excitement for my fans and me! I haven’t been on air since October and having this kind of response is just heartening. The number of responses I got in emails, online comments and even in the chat room has really surpassed my expectations and is definitely overwhelming. ~~Adz:Right~~
“This is a new start for me. That’s the reason I came here to SKNVibes; because I knew I would not have been limited. Now, I am utilized to my full potential! To my fans, I love you. Thanks for all the support and look forward to bigger things from us at SKNVibes in the near future,” the dynamic radio personality revealed.
The BCA Merchandise Outlet on Central Street carried the broadcast live to give passers-by a taste of the new entertainment experience. Proprietor Warren Bradshaw told SKNVibes, “I am really happy for Sugar Bowl because he’s now where he is meant to be. The idea of online radio is a very brilliant one and is very important especially for nationals living overseas. Sugar Bowl is really doing his thing at SKNVibes and he seems comfortable and he is doing a very good job. We all are looking forward to when the radio station comes full force.”
Sugar Bowl indicated that “this is only the start of things bigger and better” and added that the station would soon be streamed throughout the day and would ultimately become a 24-hour radio station.
Sugar Bowl reassured his fans that although he was missed for some time, by popular demand, “Sugar Bowl is here to stay and all my fans can come along and join the PEP!”
