BASSETERRE, St. Kitts – THE Antioch Baptist Church is now better able to facilitate the services of its various ministries to the surrounding communities after an opening ceremony of the church’s new office space and launch of its website on January 11.

Many church members and partners as well as members from various churches convened yesterday for the short service, held in the church, which marked “a new development in the expansion of the church”.

Pastor Lincoln Connor told SKNVibes that the office was opened to allow the church to be better able to address the needs of the parishioners and by extension, the general public as the new space may be used for counselling, meetings with the pastor or just to offer information on the services of the church.

“It is more accessible than the previous [office] site as it is just across from the church and can be easily found. It also has the necessary equipment for developing and producing recordings from our radio programme. Anyone should be able to get information about the various activities and ministry of the church just by visiting the office. ~~Adz:Right~~

“The website has been a project we have long-awaited to embark upon. This year, we have set a benchmark to use technology in all our projects. Although we have video screens during our worship services, we thought that the website launch would be an ideal start for our ministry in achieving this objective. We recognize the many advantages of making use of technological innovations and we intend to impact the lives of many through this medium.

“It is a live site and is constantly updated. We believe that through the site, we will keep people informed and in touch with the family of ministries. Moreover, visitors will have a more concrete sense of their worship experience by visiting the site and sharing their experience with others when they return. Through this, anyone anywhere in the world would be able to share prayer requests, listen to our services or simply find out more about the different ministries.”

Connor indicated that the church has plans of launching its television programme which would “strengthen the thrust to place the church beyond the four walls and reach out to a wider range of persons”. He added that the church has expanded in number of members and also in the number of services provided and must be prepared to accommodate the increase by incorporating advanced technology.

Pastor Connor took the time to express his satisfaction with the quality of the site which was developed and hosted by eBizz Solutions dba SKNVibes. He encouraged other churches and individuals interested in developing a website to get the professional assistance from eBizz Solutions.

Agnes Benjamin, senior member of the church, cut the ribbon which symbolically started a new era in the further expansion and development in the church.
