Cayon Police Station host social event

Basseterre, St. Kitts - On Saturday 10th January 2009, the Police and residents of the Cayon Police District came together at a grand social event organized and hosted by the officers of the Cayon Police Station.

 The event catered for all age groups as it started in the afternoon with a party for the children of the community.  Several residents from the area attended and engaged the police in a game of dominoes and other social activities.  

Lt. Col. Patrick Wallace, who is a resident of the area as well as Commissioner of Police Williams and Assistant Commissioner Richardson and other senior Police Officers attended and socialized with the officers and residents of Cayon. 

The event was part of the station’s community outreach efforts and is held annually, to show appreciation to the residents for their support throughout the year and to strengthen the bonds and foster good relationship between the two. 

The highlight of the evening was a surprise presentation of a plaque by Sgt. Tyson, officer in charge of the station, to Mr. Dwayne ‘Zumie’ Decosta for his sterling contribution and assistance to the Cayon Police Station throughout the year. 

Special mention was also made of the donation of a Computer by Reed’s Data Services and a 6500W generator by Frisco Service Station, during the year 2008.
