“The competition itself has always been marked as friendly rivalry, congeniality and respect among the teams as valuable friendships are formed,” Ms. Walters expressed.

Prior to the meeting a ceremony will be held to pass the Caribbean Regional Customs Sports Tournament Flag to the BVI Customs Sports and Social Club Team as the host country. Topics to be discussed during the meeting are constitution, visa waiver requirements, games and rules, transportation and accommodation.

The idea came to fruition during the Easter weekend of that year, 1975 a group of Barbadian Customs Officers travelled to Trinidad and Tobago to engage their Trinidadian counterparts in cricket. And there, it has become a yearly event every Easter weekend in a different Caribbean Country.
