BASSETERRE, St. Kitts, November 6th 2013 - On November 1, 2013 Mr. Cartwright Farrell joined the SKELEC family as its new CEO.
Mr. Farrell, former General Manager of NEVLEC, the electricity company on our sister island, succeeds Mr. William Brooks whose contract ended in June of this year.
Mr. Farrell has been part of the electricity services on Nevis for over twenty (20) years. He has worked his way up through the ranks of the electricity services and holds a Bachelor in Electronics and Electrical Engineering and a MBA in Management from Staffordshire University and Manchester Business School respectively. His extensive experience as an engineer and manager will certainly be a great asset to SKELEC as the Company moves forward into the era of a green economy and also through the modernization of its operations with the implementation of its END TO END Project.
SKELEC officially welcomes Mr. Farrell to its family and looks forward to a relationship that will be beneficial to the continued growth and improvement of the Company and the quality of electricity services provided to the people of St. Kitts.
The Board of Directors hereby expresses its sincere thanks to Chief Financial Officer (CFO) Mrs. Marva Thompson who also performed the duties of CEO during the past four months.
