By: Jenise Ferlance-Isaac, SKNVibes.com
BASSETERRE, St. Kitts - WITH the launch of Sugar Mas 42 only days away, the Kollision Band is wasting no time in its preparations for the much anticipated Carnival season.

SKNVibes spoke with the band's manager, Shervin White, who informed that Kollision is almost ready to 'jam down de place' next month (December).

He said that the band is currently working on its album which would soon be released.

“We are already working on our album and we would like to release within the first week of December."

White revealed that the band has already aligned itself to a J’Ouvert troupe and fans would be able to find them with the Carib Brewery J’Ouvert Troupe come December 26.

The band, which turned 10 years in March of this year, has its eyes set on the on the Sugar Mas Road March title, having scored a mere two points last year.

White said that they intend to go "all the way" this year and take home its very first Road March title.

With regards to what the Band has been up to for 2013, White said that Kollision has been heavily booked this year, travelling on occasions to play at regional carnivals including Anguilla and Saba.

He went on the say that the band should be travelling again to Saba Day on December 7 and 8 and hopefully to Anguilla on December 14 following the launch of its 10th album.

When asked what fans can expect from this upcoming album, the Band Manager told this publication that they could anticipate an explosive album as they are working hard to bring something much bigger than last year's.

Commenting on the band’s 2012-2013 album, dubbed ‘Armed and Dangerous', fans and non-fans said that it was the best they had heard from the band and also the from among the other bands that participated in last year's Sugar Mas.

White ensured that the new album would be bigger and better, noting that Kollision Band has released a number of rhythms throughout the year which is just a small taste of what is in store.

"People said that the album last year was very good, but the one this year will be 10 times better than last year. It will be one to look forward to," White said.
