BASSETERRE, St. Kitts - ‘MY Kind of Love’ was the song that Jamaican songstress Tessanne Chin chose for her second Live Show performance on The Voice aired last night (Nov. 11) on NBC; a song that she dedicated to her husband Michael Cuffee Jr.

Last night the top 12 competitors, collectively with an equal count from the four teams headed by celebrity Voice coaches in the persons of Adam Levine, Christina Aguilera, CeeLo Greene and Blake Shelton, took to the stage.

Once again the fate of these aspiring artistes rests in the hands of the voting public in the United States and other eligible territories following last night’s show.

And those live results, of course, will be announced tonight (Nov. 12) on another episode of The Voice.

Following Tessanne Chin’s awe-inspiring talented presentation, her coach Adam Levine, while showering her with praise, remarked: “I enjoy watching you sing and watching you grow.” He also told her that she blows his mind every time he hears her sing.

According to Adam’s colleague Christina Aguilera, “there was a lot of passion” in Tessanne Chin’s rendition of Emeli Sandé’s ‘My Kind of Love’.

Tessanne Chin had made her debut performance at the annual St. Kitts Music Festival in 2007.

She was slated to return this year after the initial line-up was publicised. However, she was replaced by well-known Jamaican Reggae and Dancehall artiste Christopher Martin due to schedule conflict.

Many people are familiar with Tessanne Chin’s music, which include popular songs such as ‘Hide Away’, ‘Broken Melody’, ‘Messenger’ and ‘Never Let Me Go’ featuring Shaggy.

Tessane Chin’s husband and her sister Tami Chynn were among the audience in the front row during her dynamic performance.

Speaking on pre-recorded video segment for her Live Show introduction, Tessanne Chin informed that she has been married for two years and that she and her husband were “best friends” four years before they wed.

Tonight’s episode, for viewers in St. Kitts-Nevis, begins at 10:00 p.m. since the US has its usual daylight saving time frame, which is an hour behind.
