Tenders invited for the cleaning services of Central Administration Complex

    Roadtown, Tortola - Cleaning contractors and others in similar business, licensed in the Virgin Islands (UK) are being invited to submit proposals to provide cleaning services for the Central Administration Complex in Road Town, Tortola.

     

    Government has issued a tender notice requiring cleaning services to take effect from February 2, 2009.
    Proposed works consists of the cleaning of ceramic and carpet tiles in the west and east atrium which consists of three floors each and the walkways and archways.

     

    Tender documents will be available upon request from the Chairman of the Central Tenders Board in the Procurement Unit of the Ministry of Finance. They will be distributed from February 2 - 13.

     

    The deadline for submission of tenders is February 24, 2009 at 10:00 am and a non-refundable $50 fee payable by cash or bank cashier’s cheque payable to the Accountant General is required.

     

    All applications must include a valid 2009 trade license, certificates of good standing from the Director of the BVI Social Security Board, Commissioner of Inland Revenue and the Registrar of Commercial Registry.

     

    Contractors and businesses submitting tenders are also required to include proof of ownership of the equipment for the job or proof of ability to finance acquisition of the equipment required for the job.

     

    Tenders will be publicly opened at the Ministry of Finance, Procurement Unit located at the RFG Place, third floor on February 24, 2009 at 12:00 noon and tenders are invited to attend.

    The Central Administration Complex was completed in 1994. It was designed to centralise the services of government by hosting ministries/departments in one location.
