~~Adz:Left~~BASSETERRE, St. Kitts – WHAT was expected to be a usual trouble-free stroll to her place of employ, ended up as a frightening and unforgettable experience for one of the cashiers at C&C Superfoods.

Initial reports reaching SKNVibes were that two women were walking along Lower Market Street en route to C&C Superfoods, Bay Road Branch yesterday afternoon (Jan. 26) at about 1:30 when one of them was robbed.

Other reports suggested that an individual, who was with three others at the side of that road, approached the woman and attempted to remove a gold chain which she was wearing around her neck.

Having failed at his attempt to snatch her chain, the robber made off with the woman’s handbag.  Fortunately, she reportedly suffered no injuries as a result of the incident.

When contacted by SKNVibes, the Police Force’s Press and Public Relations Officer, Inspector Cromwell Henry, confirmed that the incident had taken place and informed that three individuals were in police custody assisting with investigations. This media house however understands that the robber is still at large.

Investigations into the matter are ongoing.
