13th January, 2014 -- The Financial Investigation Agency (“the Agency”) is advising Industry Practitioners, Non- Profit Organisations and Designated Non-Financial Businesses and Professionals of the passage of the Financial Investigation Agency (Amendment) Act, 2013 (“the Amendment Act”) on 19th November, 2013.
Most notable, the Amendment Act requires persons or entities to provide the Agency with information under section 4 (2) (d) of the Financial Investigation Agency Act, 2004 within five (5) working days following receipt of a written request. This amendment nullifies the seven (7) day period previously indicated in the Agency’s Request Letters.
